About

Korea, explained plainly.

Most English-language guides to Korea fall into two traps: glossy tourist-board copy that tells you nothing useful, or one traveller's single lucky afternoon written up as gospel. Korea Plainly sits between them. We read widely — official sources, local Korean writing, and real visitor reports — cross-check the facts, and rewrite them clearly for people who don't read Korean.

How we research

For every guide, we gather multiple sources and keep only what they agree on. Prices, schedules, and procedures are checked against official sources first (transit operators, government tourism bodies), because blog posts go stale. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of guessing.

The one rule we never break

We never claim first-hand experience we don't have. When an article is written from genuine personal experience, it carries a ✦ First-hand badge. Everything else is presented honestly as researched, cross-checked information — useful and accurate, without pretending to be a diary it isn't. We think you deserve to know which is which.
